Dear Grace Church Member:

We Walk by Faith.

We all need a little faith at times. And when we are in search of comfort, reassurance, and guidance, the church is the place many of us turn. We can come as we are and be surrounded by a community of caring people. It is that sense of welcome that makes Grace Church a place we can call home.

As we approach our 150th anniversary, I am reminded of all the people who have called Grace Church home. This church has been a beacon of faith through some of the greatest moments in our history. It has stood as a place of welcome when the world felt tumultuous.

And no matter what, the people of Grace walk by faith and listen to what God is revealing.

That commitment to listening and responding has built a legacy of love and compassion here at Grace. It’s a legacy that proves faith is so much more than words. It is tangible acts of caring for our neighbors and for one another, reminding us of God’s abundant love…in all times, for all people. This includes:

• Establishing the Community of Hope Pastoral Care Team

• Creating a weekly prayer group for spiritual formation

• Supporting local outreach efforts such as the Goochland Cares Food Pantry, the YMCA Backpack program, and Christmas Mother

• Hosting ecumenical worship and learning opportunities at Advent and Lent

• Providing gathering space at no charge for a wide range of community groups

This year, as we celebrate 150 years of walking by faith, we come together not only to remember our past but to plan for our future. Your annual pledge is your faithful commitment to ensuring that Grace Church remains a pillar of love and welcome in Goochland, a place we can call home for generations to come.

I encourage you to prayerfully consider your financial commitment for the 2026 fiscal year. I also want to encourage you to contribute to the life of Grace Church through participating in activities that enliven your faith.
