Dear Grace Church Family,

We began 2026 celebrating our 150th anniversary at Grace. And, it has surely been a year of joy and gratitude for our shared history and for our future ministry together. Over this past year, we have grown in our journey of faith together and we have expanded our commitment to loving and serving our community. Thank you for being a part of this special time in the life of our church.

Now, as we turn toward 2027, we are Building a Faithful Foundation for future generations. Because of your dedication to growing our outreach and spiritual formation, we have not only strengthened our current programs, but we have established new and enriching opportunities for our church and wider community. Here are just a few:

Worship & Wonder – Our new monthly outdoor worship service is designed especially for children to experience God in nature. We have even created a brand-new worship space which will allow us to grow this service and adapt to our changing needs.

Community of Hope – We have continued to strengthen our pastoral care ministry and have a dedicated group of individuals who prepare meals, visit, and provide help to those in need.

James River Area Ministry – In partnership with St. John’s Episcopal Church in Columbia, we have created a new ministry model that expands regional opportunities to worship and learn together.

Shrine Mont – We are renewing our worship and fellowship time together with a church-wide retreat at Shrine Mont, our diocesan retreat center in Orkney Springs, Virginia, August 5-8, 2027.

Canterbury Pilgrimage – Walking the path of Archbishop Sarah Mullally, we will embark upon an 84-mile walking pilgrimage from London to Canterbury in June of 2027.

Each and every one of these initiatives is part of our faithful foundation. And they are just a few of the ways that foundation is taking shape for the future. But we couldn’t do it without your love and dedication to Grace.
