Meet Our Rector

The Rev. Emily Dunevant

Rector

Contact Emily

The Rev. Emily Dunevant received a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York with an emphasis in Interfaith Studies and Ecumenical Theology. Before coming to Grace Church, Emily served as the Director of Multifaith Initiatives in the Office of the Chaplaincy at the University of Richmond.

Her focus is on creating stronger communities across lines of religious and cultural difference, especially with consideration to the intersection of faith, politics, and society.

In addition to serving as the Rector of Grace, Emily is a chaplain for Goochland County Fire and Rescue and leads the James River Area Ministry, a mentoring relationship between Grace Episcopal Church and St. John's Episcopal Church in Columbia.

In her spare time, you will find Emily scuba diving or horseback riding.

You can also find her on Substack at theweavingwisdomproject.substack.com

Emily and her husband, Dwayne, live in Goochland with their 3 dogs. Their four kids are all grown and semi-flown.
