Grace Episcopal is a small inter-generational church that believes in doing God’s work in the local community. We support each other, as well as serving those around us, but we love to have fun as we grow in fellowship. Learn more about some of the opportunities available!
Fellowship
Wake Up with Grace – Members of Grace meet each Wednesday morning at 8:30 AM at the Courthouse Market Restaurant. Everyone is welcome to come and have breakfast, share a short devotional, and enjoy a mid-week chat.
Supper Clubs – Supper Clubs have been created for members who are interested in getting together in an informal way to strengthen relationships. Suppler Clubs meet once a month and members rotate hosting them at their homes. This is a great opportunity for new members to get connected.
Open Mic – This event is offered a few times a year on a Saturday night as a way for members of Grace and the greater community to share their musical talents in a coffee house format. This informal event is open to everyone.
Hospitality
Coffee Hour - Our Coffee Hour occurs at the conclusion of the 11:00 AM worship service (10:00 AM in summer). We hope to provide both old-time parishioners, as well as newcomers, a chance to meet and talk. Coffee and light refreshments are served. If you are thinking about joining a church, please feel free to stop by in the Parish Hall after the worship service and talk with us. You will find us friendly, warm, and welcoming. We hope you will join us!
Bread Bakers - Hospitality is an important part of Grace Episcopal Church's DNA. It is a meaningful way to communicate the love of Christ. Bread Bakers are a key part of this hospitality. The Bread Bakers provide fresh, home-baked bread to our visitors at Grace. It's one of our favorite ways to let folks know they are welcome in our church.
Pastoral Care
Grace Cares - Our pastoral care group meets monthly to discern how to best support Grace members, as well as the community. The Grace Cares Committee sends out care packages and meals. We are active in visiting sick or homebound members, as well as providing rides to church. This committee is at the heart of Grace as we seek to love and serve others.
GoochlandCares – Grace Church supports GoochlandCares by providing support for the Food Pantry, dinners for Free Clinic volunteers, as well as help in the Clothes Closet. Being an active community partner is a hallmark of our church, and we continually work to meet the greatest needs of our county.
Holy Casseroles - Throughout the year, we gather to bake casseroles and stock the church freezer with meals to have on hand to deliver to individuals and families in need.
