Grace Episcopal is a small inter-generational church that believes in doing God’s work in the local community. We support each other, as well as serving those around us, but we love to have fun as we grow in fellowship. Learn more about some of the opportunities available!

Coffee Hour – A long tradition, Coffee Hour is offered every Sunday following the 10:00 AM service.
Open Mic – This event is offered a few times a year on a Saturday night as a way for members of Grace and the greater community to share their musical talents in a coffee house format. This informal event is open to everyone.

Hospitality

The Hospitality Ministry helps with coffee hour, the church picnic and the Annual Meeting.
The team welcomes newcomers, supports holiday celebrations and other gatherings.

Pastoral Care

Community of Hope - This spring, a group of Grace Church members began a pastoral training program for lay people called Community of Hope. According to Community of Hope, pastoral care is defined as "when a person is being 'present' in a listening, compassionate, non-controlling manner to an individual or group for the purpose of consciously, or perhaps unconsciously, representing God to them and seeking to respond to their spiritual needs." The members faithfully attended a 14 week training session that completed in June.
Grace is fortunate to have such a dedicated group of volunteers participating in this program.

Outreach

Grace Church supports several different programs in our community including the following:
GoochlandCares
- Grace supports local outreach through the GoochlandCares Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. Members stock shelves the last Monday of each month and collect food donations the second Sunday of each month.
Christmas Mother
- Each year, Grace supports a local family with household items, food and gifts for children.
YMCA Bright Beginnings Backpack Program
- Grace collects backpacks and school supplies for children in Goochland County so children can start the school year well equipped.
Senior Connections (new to Grace)
- Beginning Fall 2024, Grace will host luncheons and other events for older adults.
